What I Wore: Shorts

I’m not really a shorts person, or a pants person, per se. However, when I bought these pajama shorts from Lane Bryant I had one dream: to wear them in real life, not just to bed. Haha. They are so gorgeous up close, the pink lace overlay is everything.

What I Wore: Printed Pants

I just got back to NYC after spending a long weekend in Maine. The weather was gorgeous so I threw on this little ensemble to jaunt around town!

While I was there I had my hair colored for the first time in ages at a salon called Akari! My colorist, Taylor, killed it with these subtle balayage highlights. I’m obsessed and want more! What do you think of my new hairdo?

What I Wore: Dream Coat

This jacket is straight up, a dream come true. From the length to just the feel of it, it’s divine. It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with black and white striped anything… to the point that I think it may be becoming a problem. Guys, I just can’t stop myself from gravitating towards all things Beetlejuice-esque. Does anyone else have this problem?!

What I Wore: Forest Green

Everyone, meet my natural hair texture. It’s a crazy mess but it’s what I’m working with… so I’m into it. Anyway, today I donned these separates that I am equally in love with! This top, from Yours Clothing, is actually very long and I will definitely be wearing it as a dress with leggins very soon. This skirt is the perfect full-bodied piece that can either go casual or dressy. And together they are even better… in my opinion!

What I Wore: Floral for Winter

It’s been entirely too long since I’ve posted but this cold weather has froze all of my outfit inspiration. My daily wardrobe has been reduced to leggins, boots, sweaters and my giant winter parka. Luckily, yesterday was in the 40’s so I got to ditch the winter coat and don this beauty of a dress!

What I Wore: Stars In My Eyes

2013 was definitely a great year! While there were ups and downs, each moment of the last 365 days has taught me something and helped me grow as a person. I am so grateful for each and every one of you who have included me in your life and take time to check out my posts. You mean so much to me.

As the new year rolls in I am geared up to check off new goals on my list and live the best life I can!

For NYE I decided to celebrate the good things to come in this ensemble! The shirt is Lane Bryant and the denim is c/o SWAK Designs. I absolutely fell in love with these pants - I have relatively skinny legs compared to my belly so I have a hard time finding skinny jeans that fit me perfectly but SWAK nailed it!

As for accessories, the necklace is Forever21 and the pointy toe pumps are from Payless!

What I Wore: Leather Weather

By now I’m sure you’ve seen a handful of bloggers sporting this leather jacket from Asos! It is the perfect jacket to layer over all of the sweatshirts I’ve been donning lately. This cheetah sweatshirt is by Style & Co via Macy’s!

These pieces are layer over a plain black dress from Calvin Klein. This look is wrapped up with Torrid boots and Pearly Violet lipstick from Make Up For Ever!

What I Wore: Je Ne Sais Quoi

Lately, I’ve had a real thing for skirts paired with sweatshirts! When I spotted this Jessica Simpson sweatshirt at Macy’s on 34th Street I began to swoon and knew it had to be mine. The skirt is Calvin Klein and was another Macy’s find!

The look is finished off with metallic accessories! The shoes are Ashley Stewart and this amazing clutch is c/o boohoo.

What I Wore: A Christmas Dress
When ModCloth gifted me this dress at Lucky FABB it instantly reminded me of Christmas! So, I decided to use a bit of self restraint and wait for the holidays to wear it.
Since the dress has adorable details I decided to pair it with a simple black jacket, tights and my new favorite pointy toe pumps from Payless (on SALE for $20)!

What I Wore: Thanksgiving in Maine
Ahh, there is nothing like being in my hometown of Portland, Maine. I was so grateful to be able to head up there to celebrate Thanksgiving and this is what I wore!
For this ensemble I threw together a handful of my current favorites, all of which have a leather aspect. The dress is c/o Asos Curve and is a major must! The tartan and faux leather jacket is c/o MYNT 1792. I capped the outfit off with my new Torrid boots that I am sure you will be seeing a lot more of on my blog!
